Shohei Ohtani took home his fourth Silver Slugger award Thursday, continuing his dominance as the National League’s best hitter at designated hitter.
Major League Baseball announced the NL Silver Slugger winners, recognizing the top offensive player at each position. While the Dodgers had several finalists, only Ohtani brought home the hardware.
It’s his third consecutive Silver Slugger award, and frankly, the numbers make it hard to argue with the selection.

Ohtani set a franchise record with 55 home runs this season while scoring an incredible 146 runs. Those aren’t just good numbers – they’re generational.

Ohtani’s been the catalyst behind the Dodgers’ consecutive World Series titles since signing before the 2024 season. But this year brought something special – the return of his two-way ability.
After focusing solely on hitting while recovering from elbow surgery, Ohtani returned to the mound in August. By September and throughout October, he was pitching at his absolute best.
