Philadelphia Phillies 2026 MLB Draft Tracker: Live Updated Selection List image

The Philadelphia Phillies are hosting the 2026 All-Star Game festivities, which means they’re also getting the spotlight for the 2026 MLB Draft.

Saturday, July 11 kicks off Day 1 with Rounds 1 through 4, while Sunday wraps things up with Rounds 5-20. The Phillies have five selections in those first four rounds alone.

This draft matters more than usual for Philadelphia. Their farm system is in rough shape right now, and it’s likely getting worse at the trade deadline when Dave Dombrowski starts dealing prospects for major league help.

All prospect rankings come from MLB Pipeline’s Top Baseball Draft Prospects list of 250 players in this year’s class. If there’s no number listed, they’re unranked.

Phillies Draft Selections

  • Pick 36: Tyler Spangler, Shortstop, 18 years old, De La Salle High School, No. 53
  • Pick 64: Caden Bogenpohl, Outfielder, 21 years old, Missouri State, No. 93
  • Pick 100: Ruger Riojas, Right-Handed Pitcher, 22 years old, Texas, No. 92
  • Pick 128: TBD
  • Pick 135: TBD

What the Phillies Need Most

When your farm system is this thin, pretty much everything becomes a priority. But starting pitching prospects and right-handed hitters stand out as the biggest needs – both issues that are showing up at the major league level too.

Don’t be surprised if Philadelphia targets college pitching again this year. That’s the approach they took with Gage Wood, and that pick’s looking pretty good so far.

The way I see it, they can’t afford to get cute with these selections. With the farm system already depleted and more prospects likely heading out in trades, every pick needs to hit.
