The Dodgers are coming off back-to-back World Series titles, but that’s not stopping them from looking ahead. After beating the Blue Jays to wrap up another championship run, Dave Roberts and the front office are already thinking about a three-peat.

That’s where Jazz Chisholm Jr. comes in.

ClutchPoints suggests the Dodgers should make a run at the Yankees’ versatile infielder. The proposed deal would send prospects Hyeseong Kim, Zyhir Hope, and Jackson Ferris to New York for Chisholm.

The idea isn’t coming out of nowhere. Yankees GM Brian Cashman’s recent comments have sparked speculation that Chisholm could be available. When your own GM starts talking about flexibility, that usually means something.

Chisholm just wrapped up a solid season in pinstripes – 31 home runs and 80 RBI across 130 games. His .242/.332/.481 slash line shows a guy who gets on base and drives the ball when he connects.

What makes this interesting is Chisholm’s age and versatility. At 27, he’s hitting his prime and can play multiple positions. That’s exactly the kind of player championship teams covet.

The Dodgers have built their recent success on depth and flexibility. Adding someone like Chisholm would give them another dynamic bat while keeping their options open defensively. Plus, they’ve got the prospect capital to make it work without touching their core.

Whether LA actually pursues this remains to be seen. But if the Yankees are serious about moving Chisholm, the Dodgers have both the need and the assets to get something done. Sometimes the best time to make a move is when you’re already on top.
