Livvy Dunne is trading her gymnastics leotard for fishing gear. The 22-year-old LSU alum, who recently announced her retirement from gymnastics, seems to have found a new passion on the water.
Dunne joined a popular TikTok trend on Thursday, May 8, putting her own spin on the “hot girl walk” concept. Instead of showcasing a casual stroll, she opted for what she’s calling “hot girl fishing.”
In the viral clip, Dunne appears in a red bikini and denim shorts while casting a fishing rod into the ocean. “Forget hot girl walk, it’s time for hot girl fishing,” she captioned the video that’s quickly gaining traction among her followers.

Life After Gymnastics
The social media star is clearly enjoying her post-collegiate freedom. Since graduating from LSU, Dunne has been on the move, making appearances at high-profile events like the 151st Kentucky Derby before heading to Florida for some beach time.
It’s not all vacation mode for the former gymnast, though. Between sharing beach photos with family, Dunne revealed she’s house hunting at coastal locations. In a May post, she wrote, “First-semester grad school done, house hunting at the beach, bought a NYC apt, and walking to get a piña colada — life is sweet like cinnamon.”
The Sports Illustrated model announced her retirement from competitive gymnastics in April 2025 after a successful collegiate career. Now that her days of beam routines and floor exercises are behind her, Dunne seems to be casting her line into new waters—both literally with her fishing rod and figuratively with her career moves.
For someone who spent years perfecting precise movements in the gym, the relaxed pace of fishing might be exactly the change of pace she needs. From sticking landings to reeling in catches, Dunne is proving she can excel at whatever she sets her mind to.
