Some people just know how to nail Christmas gifts.
Logan Henderson got one hell of a present this holiday season. The Milwaukee Brewers pitcher unwrapped what looked like a simple baseball card at first glance.
It was an Oneil Cruz card. Nothing unusual there.
Except the photo showed Cruz rounding the bases after crushing a 122.9 MPH home run. That bomb, as you’ve probably figured out by now, came off Henderson’s fastball.

Look, getting torched happens to everyone in the big leagues. What makes this gift perfect is the timing and Henderson’s reaction to it.
This was Henderson’s MLB debut season, and he actually put together some solid work in his five starts. The kid went 3-0 with a 1.78 ERA, striking out 33 batters in 25.1 innings pitched.
That’s the kind of debut that gets you noticed in Milwaukee’s system.
Henderson’s got a real chance to carve out a bigger role with the Brewers going forward. The fact that he can laugh at getting absolutely crushed by one of the hardest-hit balls of the season? That’s probably a good sign for his mental makeup.
It’s the kind of gift that’ll either end up framed in his basement or become the centerpiece of clubhouse trash talk for years to come.
